Yesterday, SKKM Firm and Cedar Law PLLC filed a motion to amend the civil rights lawsuit filed on behalf of peaceful George Floyd/BLM protesters against the City of Seattle, King County, and State.  20 more plaintiffs will be joining the suit, bringing the total to 55. The driver, Dawit Kelete, who gained access to I-5, striking and killing Summer Taylor, is now added as a defendant.  The amendment also addresses the Court’s order on the City of Seattle’s unsuccessful motion to dismiss, by adding in a request for injunctions against the City’s and County’s use of improper force against lawful protesters. Finally, it will add additional allegations and claims, including Public Records Act violations by the City of Seattle.
