This presentation will focus on Rules of Professional Conduct that may conflict with some common assumptions and conventional wisdom common to plaintiff’s practice. The objective is to inform and remind plaintiffs’ practitioners of the need to consider the RPCs while handling aspects of plaintiffs’ lawsuits that are often regarded as established through habit or routine, but that could present an ethical hazard to the practitioner. Attendees should come away with a heightened ability to ensure that “common practice” as applied to their cases will not risk an unethical result.
