The M3 Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Washington Pro Bono Committee regularly helps match pro se litigants with volunteer attorneys to represent them in bringing civil rights claims. This CLE will address how to approach and manage such claims and cases in the Western District. Participants will hear from three Western District Judges and an experienced practitioner, gain cultural competency around assisting individuals who may have mental health challenges and other unique issues, and learn about opportunities to provide pro bono service.

Mo Hamoudi, attorney at The Stritmatter Firm and former Federal Public Defender, will ask a panel of Federal Judges, District Judges Kymberly Evanson and Tana Lin, and Magistrate Judge Brian Tsuchida questions regarding how attorneys can provide ethical and effective pro bono representation.
