Personal Injury Paralegal (Full-Time)

Stritmatter Law is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our fast-paced, complex litigation practice. This is a full-time position for a detail-oriented, motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment and is eager to take on increasing responsibility.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is precise, efficient, resourceful, and confident managing a demanding caseload with minimal supervision. Prior litigation experience is required, and personal injury experience is strongly preferred. This is a paperless practice, so comfort with modern technology is essential.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage case files from intake through trial preparation and jury trial
  • Maintain regular and consistent communication with clients via phone, email, Zoom, and Teams
  • Correspond with courts, opposing counsel, and outside agencies
  • Navigate ECR/ECF, including e-filing, e-serving, downloading, and searching documents
  • Calendar hearings, deadlines, reminders, and schedule meetings and depositions
  • Draft discovery responses, pleadings, and other litigation documents
  • Anticipate attorney needs and next steps in the litigation process
  • Track case costs and manage subrogation matters
  • Review and analyze medical records and other agency records
  • Handle e-discovery
  • Prepare demand packages, medical summaries, and chronologies
  • Prepare trial materials, including:
  • ER 904 packages
  • Jury instructions
  • Witness and exhibit lists
  • Trial pleadings
  • Exhibit preparation and management
  • Witness scheduling, including video conferencing
  • PowerPoint and trial presentation support

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation with attorneys and clients
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Professional, respectful, and calm under pressure
  • Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative mindset
  • Solid understanding of local, state, and federal court rules
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Office 365 (minimum typing speed of 70 wpm)
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-demand environment

  • Communicates regularly with the Director of Administration regarding workload and priorities
  • Assists with training and onboarding of new support staff
  • Keeps appropriate stakeholders informed of project status and deadlines

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years of law firm experience
  • Prior litigation experience (required)
  • Personal injury experience (preferred)
